I’m fascinated with all things motion and love exploring ways motion, animation, and design can be used thoughtfully and meaningfully to educate, delight, and turn good user experiences into great user experiences.

This is all driven by a curiosity to learn, experiment, and understand what resonates with people and how the projects I’m working on fit into their lives.

Hopper

SEPTEMBER 2017 – PRESENT

I currently work as the Senior Creative Manager at Hopper, an app designed to make booking travel easy — and cheap!

I joined the team to help shape what video and motion content could look like for Hopper’s expansion into hotels. Since joining, I’ve helped build and grow the hotel content team, launch and iterate on our hotels product, and have collaborated with many very talented folks on the creative, user experience, growth & user acquisition, data science, engineering, and product teams. Most recently, I’ve been designing and animating ad creatives, editing videos for social, and designing and building webpages we use in the app to quickly test new product offerings and promotional ideas.

I’ve been fortunate to work on a lot of amazing projects here — from designing award-winning ad creatives and building a system to generate automated, data-driven animations to researching user behavior and designing new product features.

Brown University

AUGUST 2013 – AUGUST 2017

As the Creative Team Lead of Educational Media at Brown SPS, I had a blast working with professors, instructional designers, industry experts, and media producers to take complex ideas and make them understandable and relatable for audiences ranging from high schoolers to seasoned executives.

Here, I led the creative direction and production of over 500 animations, live-action videos, podcasts, visualizations, graphics, and more, to educate Brown’s local and global community of students, as well as promote Brown’s programs.

In collaboration with others on the Online Learning & Innovation team, I also helped to create the Digital Media Group and grow the team from 3 to 6 full-time staff members over a 6-month period, establishing collaborative workflows and onboarding new team members along the way.

Created & launched a story-driven fundraising website as the Content Lead on Northeastern University’s Student Innovation Team

Developed curriculum for & taught a course on Photoshop to middle school & high school students during a 4-week, 2-hour/day summer session

Worked as a Media Technician at Harvard Law School, learning the ins & outs of audiovisual tech while soaking up lectures on constitutional law & filming Supreme Court justices
